1. Mike Watkins has set up a VFW/Beatty Lions Club Memorial Day Poker Run. Volunteers have been identified to man the stops. Thank you to the volunteers.
2. Flag Retirement/Disposal ceremony is scheduled for 1800, 14 June 2012, Flag Day. Post Adjutant tasked with ensuring Beatty Cemetery is scheduled for ceremony and ensuring Fire Dept support, also need to ensure Sheriff’s Office is notified. Need to get flyers out, Mike Kerr volunteered to do flyers.

New Business:

1. Post election report is due 6-1-12, Post Quartermaster has for action.
2. Post has been requested to host VFW District 4 Meeting, members agreed that early October would be a good target date, more to follow.
3. Next post meeting, June 14, will be held at Beatty Cemetery, time 1800.

Good of the Order:

1. Post member Mike Carnine is reportedly home from Loma Linda Hospital and back to work. He has been restored to full duty.
2. Post Ladies Auxiliary institution is scheduled Sunday May 20, 3:00 PM, Beatty Community Center, reception to follow at Happy Burro. Post Commander requests all available members attend to support our Ladies Auxiliary.
3. Comrade Fred Ludwick has information on vets receiving more money in social security benefits based on active duty service, more to follow.
